There are many reasons why family or friends are not able to physically attend the service of a loved one, to celebrate their life. Although they may be separated by distance or circumstance, FuneralCast helps connect people in difficult times.
What is a FuneralCast? :A FuneralCast is where discrete video coverage of a funeral, memorial or graveside service is made available over the internet using the latest streaming media technologies. With most people today using the World Wide Web to access information online, webcasting of events has become common practice.
Discrete: FuneralCast aims to provide discrete video coverage of all services. In most cases mourners attending the service do not see camera’s or production staff, or even know that the service is being broadcast. Live or Recorded Broadcasts: Most services are broadcast live on the internet so that those unable to physically attend can have immediate remote access. However it is possible to delay the broadcast, or view the service again at a later date, if the family wishes.
Private or Public Services: The family may wish to keep the service a private affair by restricting website access, requiring viewers to log into the service with a username and password. In many cases this password is a nickname or term of endearment used by the family. The family can then either provide access to mourners directly, or give permission for FuneralCast to email login instructions to a list of those that the family would like to grant access.
For the privacy of attendees, FuneralCast only covers the actual service, not events prior to, or proceeding, the service.
Unrestricted public viewing of the service is available if requested.
View on Demand: Family and friends living in different time zones are able to view the service at any time. Service coverage is kept available to view on demand for a minimum of 13 months after the service. This enables loved ones to view the service again for at least a month after the anniversary of the service.
Options: Only the family can determine the best way to honor the life of their loved one, subsequently each service may have its own special requirements. FuneralCast staff are dedicated to assisting the family arrange the type of coverage that will best suit the family’s wishes.
We welcome prior consultation regarding slide presentations or photo’s that can be incorporated into the FuneralCast.
A DVD presentation, covering the service and commemorating the life of your loved one, is also available upon request.
